You're only minutes away from catching the "Big One". Erie's Western Basin is truly a fisherman's paradise. Seventy percent of all Walleye caught in Lake Erie are caught in Ottawa County waters. The reefs and islands teem with Smallmouth Bass and Perch. Shorelines and harbors provide for family fishing-fun all year long. Private Trout Clubs are located in and around Castalia, a short drive away.

Unquestionably, the vacationland area offers the finest variety of recreational boating on Lake Erie. With easy access to the excitement of South Bass, Middle Bass and Kelley's islands and mainland attractions including Cedar Point and the historic Marblehead Lighthouse you'll have as much time at the helm as well as enjoying a broader range of activities.

Jet ski and personal watercraft owners love the area for its protected bays and beaches, which make it perfect for a refreshing ride on hot summer days.
